Sauce Daddy Marinaded Steak

Sauce Daddy Marinaded Steak

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 2 lbs steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak)
  • 1/2 cup Sauce Daddy's lime and basil hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lime wedges and fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together hot sauce, olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to make a marinade.

  2. Place the steaks in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours.

  3. Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and discard the marinade.

  4. Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).

  5. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  6. Serve topped with fresh basil, and an extra drizzle of Sauce Daddy's hot sauce, if desired.
